Hello and welcome to the cosmic river!
These pages are intended to serve as a guide for both beginners and
advanced amateur astronomers living in the north of England -
particularly Northumberland where I live ;-)
I've tried to make a website that is up to date and easy to maintain.
To do this I'm using elements of a blog, which can be seen on the
Skynotes page; if something interesting is happening the night sky I'll
post a message there as soon as I know about it. Here are the most
recent headlines: In the Learn!
section I'm slowly putting presentations and other bits and pieces that
I've produced over the years.
If you want to learn more about the stars and planets or would like to
meet others who share your interests you really should contact your
local astronomical society. If you live in Northumberland have a look at
the website of the Northumberland Astronomical Society. Otherwise, visit
the website of the
Federation of Astronomical Societies to find your
local society in the UK. Have you seen the
cosmic river yet?
Clear skies,
Dr Adrian Jannetta FRAS
